Our client, a contract electronics manufacturer specializing in complex components and assembly solutions, is seeking a hands-on Plant Controller / Accounting & Operations Manager. This role is responsible for leading all plant-level financial operations at the Morgan Hill facility and is 100% on-site.
As a key member of the site leadership team, the Controller will partner closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering to deliver accurate financial reporting, provide actionable insights, and support overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all site accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory, and payroll coordination.
- Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory controls.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes; ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Analyze financial performance, track KPIs, and provide insights to support operational decision-making.
- Develop and manage the annual budget and quarterly forecasts in partnership with corporate finance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and engineering to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance standard costing processes and product margin analysis.
- Support internal and external audits; drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
