Our client, a private technology company, has an opening for an Accounting/Global Payroll Lead/Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The primary duties of the Accounting/Global Payroll Lead/Manager will be to coordinate with employees and the senior management team on all payroll-related items. This also includes handling all responsibilities under Employer of Record (EOR). Currently this role is 100% remote yet that could change in the future where a commute to the peninsula/South San Francisco may be required.
General Responsibilities:
Compensation range: $110k-$140k
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all employee files
- Manage payroll data process, end to end, including coordination with accounting
- Support the equity program, reporting, and file maintenance
- Manage and coordinate expense report processing with accounting
- Manage bonus tracking and administration
- Support the commission payment process
- Head department policy communications
- Run the HR Systems procurement and implementation process
- Act as primary liaison with US payroll provider
- Provide payroll input and verification
- Oversee new employee approval coordination and offer letters
- Oversee new employee onboarding management and coordination
- Track employment letter amendments
- Manage PTO tracking
- Coordinate regulatory compliance
- Coordinate benefits with providers
- Manage payroll provider invoice review and approvals
- Primary liaison with non-US payroll provider(s)
- Ensure payroll input and verification
- Coordinate new employee approvals and employment contracts
- Manage and coordinate new employee onboarding
- Manage PTO tracking
- Head the regulatory compliance coordination support (by country)
- Manage payroll provider invoice review and approvals
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA preferred
- Minimum 6+ years' relevant experience leading the payroll function at a technology company
- Experience with international employer of record firms for employment matters required
- Stock administration experience is a plus
- Extremely detailed orientated and organized
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Versed in current payroll procedures and related laws
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Resourceful, innovative, with a can-do attitude
